NABA is very excited to announce our next program offering which allows young Irish based basketball players to develop both on and off the court.
This program includes a combination of full-time basketball coaching and development, as well as academic supervision and mentoring via supervised study sessions 6 days a week in our new state the art facility in Glasnevin, Dublin 11.
The offer will give your child approx 675 contact hours of mentoring both on and off the court over a 28 week period during the academic year. The Hourly cost breaks down to just over €4.00 per hour. It includes 336 hours of Basketball training as detailed below and 376 hours of supervised study sessions.
The Hours of attendance to achieve this is 5pm-9.00pm Monday to Friday and 10am-6pm on Saturdays-(Saturday attendance is not compulsory for members as a lot of players play games on Sat). A full gym membership, located in our new state of the art Basketball Strenght and conditioning facility, is also part of this offer. In addition to this, our NABA programs offer members frequent well know guest motivational speakers who aim to offer reflections on their experience to our NABA members in an effort to build mental strength and wellness.
The program is aimed at giving your child the extra edge to excel academically and athletically and will operate around their club training and playing schedule as required.
They will be coached by full-time professional basketball coaches here at our academy close to Dublin city center, and training will also include the academic supervision they need to ensure success in their leaving or junior certificate. Conveniently we are 7-minute walk away from Broombridge train station and Luas stop on the red line.
Following 2 hours of intense skill development training 6 days per week, there are 2 hours of time allotted in all our player’s evening schedules for academic work and mentoring. This will be held in our classroom facilities onsite. All of our staff are Degree qualified, Garda vetted and meet all requirements for Child protection and welfare.
Additionally, this program offers our players a chance to attend exposure events and gain visibility from recruiters and coaches from universities in the USA. We find the academy is receiving regular invites for our players to visit universities and colleges with the possibility of full and partial scholarships on offer.
